Clay Roof Tile

Tangshengyuan® clay roof tiles, also known as earthenware tiles or simply terracotta tiles, are a type of traditional roofing material made primarily from fired clay or earthenware. Clay roof tiles have been used worldwide for thousands of years because of its cheap price, and continue to be a popular choice for both residential and commercial buildings.

The manufacturing process for clay roof tiles begins with the mixing of finely ground clay, sands, and other additives such as ball clay to create a workable paste. The paste is then poured into molds and allowed to air dry. Once the tiles are removed from the mold, they are typically glazed on their upper surface to provide a smooth, weatherproof finish. The tiles are then fired in a kiln to harden the clay and create the desired shape and color.

Clay roof tiles are available in a range of shapes, sizes, and colors to match different architectural styles and tastes, usually manufacturing 300*400 mm, 270*400 mm, 305*305 mm sizes. The most common shapes are the S-tile and the Roman tile, both of which have a curved profile that helps them interlock with each other for a tight fit. The tiles are typically glazed in a single color, although some tiles may have patterns or textures created through the use of different glazes.
